Our client is the world’s leading manufacturer of construction and mining equipment, diesel and natural gas engines, industrial gas turbines and diesel-electric locomotives. They have the largest global presence in the industries they serve.
Business Challenges
The company had a huge challenge of validating the APQP process, which included the critical tasks from concept approval to production. Accurate and faster process validation score was important for creating a product quality plan to develop and manufacture products that meet customers’ demands.
As the entire validation process was manual, it consumed a lot of time to search and recollect all the notes for calculating the validation score. The calculated score then was passed to the management team and key stakeholders to push the new product to the production bay.

After carefully listening to the challenges, our team of experts recommended an enterprise mobile app solution, i.e., a hybrid application.
- The application designed for tablets is aimed at helping the client with seamless navigation to the process, parts, and issue notes.
- The solution is enabling the staff to capture the processed image from the top to pin point the issues quickly and make accurate notes.
- The solution helps the client to sort down issues and auto-calculate validation score.
- The scores are shared to the management team in real-time to identify the issues earlier and accelerate product development rate.
