Augmented Reality and Retail – a match made in the digital world (Virtual Shopping)
Solomon is a gadget lover. He is considering buying a new smart TV for his living room. He happened to be in a mall and casually walked into the electronics section and ended up at the Televisions aisle. He likes the looks of a TV on display. He points his smartphone to that TV and in an instant, accesses all the available digital information on that TV – specs, product videos, customer reviews. He decides to go for it. Well, what the retailer did was to convert a shopper into a buyer. What helped the retailer clinch the deal is the integration of Augmented Reality into the in-store experience to take that experience to a whole new level. By placing content directly in front of a potential consumer – in a more easy, personalized and engaging way – the retailer influenced a purchase decision. It is happening, and it is now! The all pervasiveness of digital technologies has changed every industry and every walk of life. While that’s a given, the ability to gauge how an emerging technology is going to impact your business and make the transition quickly is a deal maker. Today, the two trends that are central to Retail are ‘convenience’ and ‘customer engagement.’ Using digital technologies intelligently, progressive enterprises are focusing on innovating on both these aspects in order to convert shoppers into buyers. And the one technology that is literally pushing the boundaries of innovation in Retail is Augmented Reality (AR). AR is a technology that superimposes a computer-generated image on a user’s view of the real world. It is commonly implemented using a person’s phone camera. The technology is well suited to retail as it can be used on a mobile device without the need for a headset. Though Augmented and Virtual Reality are not new, it is their innovative application by Retailers and Brands that is opening new frontiers in creating truly immersive shopping experiences that bridge the gap between digital and real. According to a study by Citibank, AR driven commerce is expected to account for 25% of all online retailing by 2035.

No-Code Analytics – Supercharge Your Manufacturing Operations Smartly
Digital transformation is revolutionizing manufacturing companies, and this trend is all set to continue. The evolution of technologies like the Internet of Things, Artificial Intelligence, Robotic Process Automation, Mobile Applications, Cloud, etc. are transforming the way manufacturing shop floors work. And companies leveraging these technologies thrive and others just falter. Manufacturers have many challenges to negotiate. To name a few are Manual or partially automated processes Inventory management Lack of visibility on the shop floor operations Lack of technology, tools and resources Expensive machine maintenance Manual asset tracking and management All the above challenges hamper the production rate, and manufacturers are left with no choice but to invest in digital transformation solutions to accelerate their shop floor operations. Many companies have switched to no code analytics as it is simple and efficient. With a no-code analytics platform, manufacturers can amplify their production while reducing machine maintenance costs. Above all, they can harness real-time data and analyze the trends to prevent machine failures and plan for improvements well in advance. By 2024, low-code application development will be responsible for more than 65% of application development activity. (Source: Gartner) Today, I will walk you through the benefits of using no code analytics platform for your manufacturing unit. Let’s dive deep into the discussion.

6 Ways to Use Low-Code Development to Your Advantage
Leveraging the traditional development platforms for application development is a headache for most companies today due to the cost of hiring a new developer and the time taken to complete the project. Especially, small and medium-sized companies face the above challenges as they have a tight deadline in front of them to develop and deliver the applications. But, developers are the hot property in the market, and hiring a developer for a project costs massively for these companies. Matching the skill gap and resource shortage has forced SMEs to focus on solutions that will simplify app development while expediting the development time. One such solution most SMEs prefer today is the low-code platforms. The platform’s growth has been imminent over the years, and the trend is set to continue. According to the latest report, the global low code development platform market size was USD 10.82 billion in 2020. The market size is expected to rise from USD 13.89 billion in 2021 to USD 94.75 billion by 2028 at a CAGR of 31.6% during the forecast period. The market is expected to grow in the coming years, owing to increase in demand for technological advancements for business digitalization. (Source: Globalnewswire) This post will discuss the significance of low-code development platforms, its benefits, and ways to use them effectively. Let’s get started with the discussion.
